Decisions, decisions. Thankfully the great British weather made the call for me.
A very wet Donington meant the old bike got more mileage than the new this weekend.

I forgot my furniture polish for buffing my visors. Ian Chamberlain was coming along to take the photos for me so I asked him to bring some along.
Not only did he not charge me for it he also had foresight to purchase a brand with the same name as a great motorcycle racer.

A tiring two weeks prior to last weekend. Busted ribs and a sore ankle to deal with as well as trying to rebuild the bike. I was waiting on parts up until the Thursday before the weekend meeting so ended up working on the bike until 4am Friday morning. I then had to work all day prior to traveling to the circuit on Friday evening. I slept well in the caravan on Friday.
The gif above is a time lapse taken over two evenings. One frame every five minutes incorporating the rebuild as well as an oil change.

Small kid on a bike. Not sure if it was the same guy from the Newcomers race but still unsettling to come across such a small fella whilst scrapping with another 1000cc machine.

Just so everyone knows. I am OK. I was knocked out for a couple of minutes but other than that no real problems. I am stiff and have some whiplash coming on. My ribs are sore on my back and my ankle is badly bruised from impacting the tarmac. I should be good to race in two weeks time.
